Pride 2023 Announces Schedule Of Celebrations

August 2, 2023 | 139 Comments

OUTBermuda has released the full schedule for Bermuda Pride 2023 ahead of kickoff later this month, with eight events planned over the course of five days.

A spokesperson said, “The island’s only charity focused on LGBTQ+ equality anticipates record attendance across these celebrations, which include the annual Pride Parade, Party in the Park, Pride Worship Service, Harbour Night Takeover, and Night Party as well as newly-conceived events the Pride Prom, Drag Brunch, and Open Mic & Artist Talk.”

“Bermuda Pride offers the island’s diverse LGBTQ+ community and our allies a period of greater visibility, connection, and support,” said Tiffany Paynter, Executive Director of OUTBermuda. “We aim to inspire respect and courage; educate in order to create a more compassionate and equal society; honour our past and present; and celebrate the power and beauty of who we are.”

The spokesperson said, “As well as announcing this slate of exciting events, the charity has also issued a call for volunteers to help make the week a fun, safe space for everyone. A number of roles are available to those who are interested and the sign-up form can be found at www.pride.bm/volunteer.

“This year’s Bermuda Pride theme is Homecoming, intended as an invitation to those in our community who’ve left the island to return home, both to celebrate how far we’ve come and to recognise how far we have to go.” “We’re working together—with our allies—to build a future free from discrimination and stigmatisation,” Paynter said.

The spokesperson said, “The week’s festivities will kick off at a special Pride edition of Harbour Nights, made possible by the City of Hamilton, on Wednesday August 23rd. There, attendees will be able to enjoy fresh tunes and Pride-themed cocktails from Mixyz.

“Thursday night will see the artistic community come together for an Open Mic & Artist Talk event hosted by Masterworks, from 6:30pm until 9:00pm. Tickets will be available on the door.

“For the first time, Bermuda Pride will include the presentation of an OUTBermuda Icon Award, recognising a trailblazing local LGBTQ+ activist or organisation who has helped pave the way for a more equal, inclusive Bermuda for all. The award will be presented on Friday, August 25th at Pride Prom, a first-of-its-kind evening of celebration, hosted by longtime OUTBermuda supporter and sponsor the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

“The peak of the week’s events will be the traditional Party in the Park in Victoria Park on Saturday, August 26th from 9am until 3pm. This celebration of love and equality will come together during the Pride Parade through the streets of Hamilton, 10am until 11am. The family-friendly event will see entertainers from all quarters of the community come together in celebration. For adults, a glow-themed Night Party will take place from 10pm until the early hours at Pier 6, where one and all can let their hair down.

“Sunday, August 27th will see Pride celebrations wrap up with a special Pride Worship service at Wesley Methodist Church in Hamilton, 11am until 12pm, before Drag Brunch gets into full swing at The Loren at Pink Beach. There, “Queen of Bermuda” and drag legend Sybil Barrington will hold court to bring Pride week to a close. Tickets will be sold by The Loren, with $10 from each sold being donated to OutBermuda.

“For more details on each event, including artists performing and ticket sales, please visit www.pride.bm.

“Bermuda Pride is truly a community event and would not be possible without our partners and supporters, including the City of Hamilton; Masterworks, sponsors of our Artist Talk and Open Mic; Wesley Methodist Church; and The Loren, hosts of, and partners in, our Drag Brunch. OUTBermuda would like to give a special thank you to our Rainbow Sponsors: Bacardi; Carey Olsen; Fortitude Re; QBE; and RenaissanceRe.”

  1. Clarity says:

    10 dollars to who?

  2. Question says:

The whole of June was Pride month. Does it never end?

    • Joe Bloggs says:

Are you suggesting we should have a discrimination month or months?

      • Question says:

I’m suggesting one whole month per year is perfectly adequate.

        • LOL - the real one says:

Your suggestion is noted, and ignored.
Be quiet, you have nothing to add. You’re lucky we let you stay here. LOL

          • Question says:

Intolerance and threats. I think we can see who the bigots are.

            • Mike Hind says:

              Yeah. We can see.

It’s the person speaking out against people celebrating their existence while hiding under the hood of anonymity, saying that they should only get a certain amount of time to be visible.
Yeah. We see who the bigots are.

              • Question says:

So you support the “you’re lucky we let you stay here” type of stuff. Got it.

                • Mike Hind says:

Not responding to a leading question about something someone else said isn’t support.

I thought you wanted a real conversation. Why these silly games?

                  • Question says:

Again, Mike, I was having a discussion with other people, and YOU came in and interjected, supporting their position. Yet when I pressed you on your support of their bigoted intolerance, you pretend it’s just something ‘someone else said’, as though it’s entirely nothing to do with you. You own the intolerance and threats just as much as ‘LOL’ does.

                    • LOL (original) says:

These other LOL’s are not me just to be clear. I was the first on here to use the name. It was so cleaver that others took it up but whatever.

    • tucker says:

      What’s the problem?

You’re scared of your emotions. LOL

      • Question says:

Shoving this down everyone’s throats constantly risks becoming very counterproductive.

        • tucker says:

          Like your bigoted posts?

Don’t like it? look away…but I suspect you’re deeply interested, and that confuses you.

          • Question says:

Ah. Name-calling. The usual sophisticated discussion method.

            • tucker says:

Awww, poor snowflake. You were challenged, so you got upset and went running home. Typical of bigots, like you.

            • Mike Hind says:

When have you ever engaged in an actual discussion? You usually run away when someone shows that you’re wrong…

              • Question says:

“Tucker” says my posts are ‘bigoted. They aren’t. I’ve expressed an opinion about the time and focus spent on ‘celebrating’ Pride Month, the extra days tacked onto the month, and the forthcoming Pride week. There is nothing in what I said that is ‘bigoted’.
And then he says I’m ‘scared of my emotions’, which is too st u pid to warrant a response.
If you want a discussion that doesn’t involve name-calling, I’m fine with that.
Where exactly did ‘tucker’ show I was wrong? Let’s start there.

                • Mike Hind says:

You expressed an opinion that people should only be allowed to celebrate their existence for a set amount of time, set by YOU.
And then called this kind of celebration “shoving it down everyone’s throats”.

So, your claim that “nothing [you] said was bigoted” is false.

I, personally, have never called you names, only pointed out behavior and words. I speak only for myself.

I know you would love to bring what other people say into this, but I don’t play games.

You want a discussion, let’s have one.
But it HAS to be an open, honest one between us. No lies. No deflections. No evasions. No bigotry.

You down for that, or is it going to be the usual?

                  • Question says:

I expressed opinions about the length of “Pride celebrations”. That is not ‘bigoted’. It’s an opinion.
Your tactics are designed to suppress any points of view on the subject that you don’t like.

                    • Mike Hind says:

I explained this already. I guess this is your answer. You are not willing to have an open, honest conversation.

                      I figured as much.

                    • Question says:

I have said nothing bigoted. Expressing an opinion about the length of Pride celebrations is not bigoted. You have not successfully refuted anything I’ve said. You’re the one engaging in silly games, plus gratuitous name-calling.

                    • Question says:

You’re the one that resorts immediately to name-calling.

                  • Question says:

And, by the way, where exactly did ‘tucker’ show I was ‘wrong’?

                    • Joe Bloggs says:

Is it your opinion that we should also only celebrate the fact that Black people are now considered equal to White people for only one month each year?

                    • Mike Hind says:

Again, I speak only for myself. Im not playing your silly game of answering for others.

                    • Question says:

Mike, look at this thread of posts. I was discussing with ‘tucker’, two of us. Then you came on and joined in, and said I ‘run away when someone shows I’m wrong’. So, again, where did ‘tucker’ show I was wrong?

              • LOL - the real one says:

Snowflakes always run from the heat.

        • Mike Hind says:

People existing and working and celebrating their existence isn’t “shoving things down everyone’s throat”.

It’s just people. They aren’t hurting anyone.

          • Question says:

            Counterproductive. Like it or not.

            • Mike Hind says:

Nah. Bigots will never change their minds.
So we’ll just continue to celebrate people simply existing.
Something you seem to have a problem with…

            • LOL - the real one says:

So, run to your friends at the privy council and have it banned.
Those white British people are your friends, you’re all very much alike :)

              • Question says:

I think do we have a racist bigot here. What do you think, Mike? Or is this type of ‘argument’ all good with you?

                • Mike Hind says:

Nice attempt at deflection from your own bigotry.

                  • Question says:

                    So you support it then.

                    • Mike Hind says:

Why do you keep asking me about what other people wrote? I’ve been VERY clear that I only speak for myself.

This silly, dishonest tactic of yours isn’t going to work?

I only support the things that _I_ say.

                    • Question says:

So you don’t have any opinion about it then. Some bigotry is perfectly fine with you.

              • Joe Bloggs says:

“Those white British people are your friends”

                Enough said.

          • Question says:

When a man dressed as a woman wants to share changing rooms with 12-year-old girls, that’s hurting someone.

            • LOL - the real one says:

              Aren’t you a pervert.
Seek help if that’s the kind of things you think about.

              • LOL - the real one says:

Saud, STOP using my profile name!

                • LOL - the real one says:

Dear “Concerned Bermudian”, Stop using my profile name. You’re a thief.

            • KBda says:

Instead you would rather have a trans man share the changing room with a 12 year old girl? I feel like that would be more traumatising for the girl.

            • Mike Hind says:

The fact that THAT is where your mind goes when the topic is broached speaks more about you than it does about the LGBTQ+ community.

Just a Q: should we remove kids from every situation where there is evidence that they may be in danger of sexual abuse?

              • Question says:

That’s where my mind goes when faced with the ‘they aren’t hurting anyone’ comment. Because that has actually happened, a trans-identified man exposing male genitals to young girls, as a result of trans women being allowed in women’s changing rooms at a swimming pool.

I take it you think that’s fine. What with ‘trans women being women’ and all that.

                • Mike Hind says:

Weird how you provide no evidence of this.

But I looked it up. A trans girl used the shower. That’s what you’re talking about. She isn’t a man. She’s a girl.

Calling her a man is yet another example of your bigotry.

She was respectful, turned her back for the entire time and was only “exposed” for a second, when she got her towel. That’s it.
The fact that you think this is something dangerous is sick and reflects on YOU more than any trans person.

And how you avoided my question about protecting children from places where they could be in danger of sexual abuse.

                  But that’s to be expected.

                  • Question says:

My sympathies are with women and girls who are now in a position where they have to share toilets, changing facilities, and showers, with men.

                    • Mike Hind says:

And here is an example of your transphobic bigotry.

Given that you’ve proved the point that a. You aren’t willing to have an honest conversation and b. That bigots won’t change their minds, we can leave it here.

You’ve shown who you are… well, as much as you can while hiding like an coward under that hood of anonymity.

                    • Question says:

And there we have it. Either you accept biological men in women’s changing rooms, shower facilities, toilets, etc, or you are a ‘transphobic bigot’.
Well, I’m on the side of the women and girls who are uncomfortable with this.

            • Mike Hind says:

Oh, and trans women are women.

              • Double s says:

                Nope and never will be.

                • Mike Hind says:

We see you. Too bad you are too much of a coward to say it with your whole chest.

                  • Double s says:

                    Still never will be.

                    • ABitTooMuch says:

Correct.., delusional til they die, it seems.. it’s ok, but..never, ever, never, never, never, never ever will they be… naturally

          • LOL (original) says:

Except Children that are impressionable at these very young ages.

            Regards

The original LOL dont get triggered. LOL

    • Mike Hind says:

Nope! We’re going to continue celebrating those who have been historically excluded, especially those who have recently had equal access to rights removed.
This is a rich and diverse community, made up of people from all walks of life and they absolutely deserve to be celebrated!

      • Question says:

They have the entire month of June already, and even that encroached into July. A month is quite enough.

        • Mike Hind says:

For you, maybe. You be happy with a month celebrating who you want to celebrate. That’s fine.

You don’t, however, get to tell people when and for how long they get to celebrate.

          • lol says:

The ubpOBA and biuPLP refuse to allow same sex marriage. They didn’t like the rainbow.

            • Mike Hind says:

One of the many reasons I don’t support either of them.

            • LOL - the real one says:

Bermudians are scared of the rainbow, how pathetic is that?

  3. Derrick says:

Yass!! Bermuda proud, G-A-Y. Amazing that we have all embraced this.

    • tucker says:

Your government has done everything BUT embrace equality for all.

      • Derrick says:

I’m telling ya now, this ain’t MY Government.

Its a crime they are anyone’s government, I have no idea why we keep electing them.

        • History says:

The PLP stated crystal clear before they won the election NO to SSM and the people voted! The OBA on the other when in Government didn’t support SSM either and DOCKED away from it like the cowards they’re.

          • Tucker says:

Correct. The PLP and the majority of the electorate are bigots.
What’s sad, is that you’re proud of this.

            • LOL (original) says:

the majority of the electorate are bigots.
What’s sad, is that you’re proud of this.

Sorry the people you are trying to get your way with said no.

    • Portia says:

Actually,no we have not ALL embraced this, the majority of Bermuda does NOT support the homosexual lifestyle or the indoctrination of our children.

      • What says:

Nobody is indoctrinating, there is no lifestyle. These are made up scaremongering phrases. Whatever you are, you are. Realizing and accepting yourself takes bravery when others appear to condemn you.

        • Derrick says:

Ewww Portia, you are stuck in the 1970s girl.
Proudly we are moving on, no dinosaurs needed thank you!!

        • LOL - the real one says:

How hard were you laughing when you wrote those comments? Be honest, you know you lied.

      • Mike Hind says:

When you use the words and phrases that fascists use, you side with them.

        • LOL (original) says:

not even worth explaining TRUTH to you.

          • Mike Hind says:

Notice this person doesn’t say what their “TRUTH” is.

Could it be because it’s just more bigoted nonsense?

            The world may never know…

            • LOL (original) says:

That because no one owns the Truth it is what it is. simple as that.

              • Mike Hind says:

                This is gibberish.

Par for the course for someone like this.

                • LOL (original) says:

You need to look into WW2 and figure out who the fascists really where and their tactics they used to stifle and destroy people that were not willing to stuff people into ovens and what they did to the people whom eventually got stuffed into said ovens. Then compare both sides arguments in this thread alone after your history lesson. Not even going out and looking at world news on this issue but might help you to understand.

            • LOL (original) says:

So far your side of this issue seem to be the ones throwing around personal insults and no logical arguments to actually support any of this. This lifestyle will all way be an alternate lifestyle. aka not the norm.

              LOL Just saying

              • Mike Hind says:

None of what this person is saying in the first bit is true. Just more bigoted nonsense desperately trying to rationalize hate.
Not one of these people have shown ANY interest in honest conversation. Now they’re pretending that they have.

The last part is irrelevant, because something not being “the norm” isn’t a reason that we should discriminate and oppress a group of people.

Although, this person seems to be ok with it.

                • LOL (original) says:

Everyone can see the thread above. Have I called you or anyone in here a name or even been offensive to you or anyone here. Nope.

“Just more bigoted nonsense desperately trying to rationalize hate.
Not one of these people have shown ANY interest in honest conversation.” however this is your words directly quoted.

LOL as a person stated years ago the stages this would take. We are now in the forced participation stage with criminal penalties attached because people do not agree with each other?

Thats cult like mate, might want to look at that with a shrink.

                • LOL (original) says:

The last part is irrelevant, because something not being “the norm” isn’t a reason that we should discriminate and oppress a group of people.

Again that’s you interpreting things to fit your narrative my guy.. girl ..it what do you identify as again really don’t know so I do not want to assume.

LOL lighten up learn to discuss these, granted emotional for some, issues corrigibly without the faux outrage. Unless your addicted to the rage then seek help.

      • saud says:

Dear portia, you don’t speak for everyone.
Sit your bigoted bum down and shut your homophobic mouth.

      • Joe Bloggs says:

        Portia,

Homosexuality is not a “lifestyle” and the majority of Bermudians do not care if s person is homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual. It is a vocal minority who care about such things.

        • hmmm says:

So please tell us why the PLP won when they presented NO to SSM before the election? 30-6

          • Joe Bloggs says:

Same sex marriage was only one issue in the last election. Elections are not won and lost on a single issue.

            • LOL (original) says:

Tell that to Americans with TDS…….

              LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

              • LOL (original) says:

I mean, Bermudians are just like Americans with TDS….

      • Truth says:

How many baby daddies you got?

  4. BasedConservative says:

PRIDE HAS NO PLACE IN BERMUDA, WHY DO WE ALLOW THIS?

    • LOL - the real one says:

LOL…you have no business being in Bermuda. Why do we allow foreign bigots, like you do pollute our beautiful PINK beaches?

    • Mike Hind says:

We “allow” it because being bigoted against people is a bad thing to do.

    • BDABOY says:

LOL…you’re right. Bermuda has nothing to be proud of.

    • Joe Bloggs says:

I think you have missed the “i” in your nom de plume. It should read “BiasedConservative”

  5. Mike Hind says:

And, as usual, we have the same cowards, hiding under their hoods of anonymity, posting the same hateful nonsense, then refusing to engage honestly when confronted.

    Happens every time.

It’s sad and it’s so, so dangerous.
It dehumanizes people, for absolutely no reason, other than a pathetic desire to feel special and “better” than someone else.

    • Question says:

Another ad hominem. You know no other tactic, do you.

      • Mike Hind says:

Nope. This is, as usual, not true.
I didn’t use an ad hominem here. Not once.

But you don’t care about that, do you. You just want to continue to spew hate while hiding under your hood of anonymity, pretending that you’re having an honest conversation. You’re not.

        As usual.

        • Question says:

An ad hominem is an attack on an opponent’s character, rather than addressing the underlying argument. For example when you call them “cowards, hiding under the hood of anonymity”, etc. That is an ad hominem.

Telling you this is not ‘spewing hate’. I’m just pointing out that you’re not really engaging in discussion here. You come across as a little unhinged. You’re certainly intolerant of other people’s views.

          • Mike Hind says:

Describing your behavior isn’t an ad hominem.
And that’s all that I did. Discribe your, and others, behavior. You DO hide under the hood of anonymity, spewing hateful rhetoric.
This isn’t an opinion. That’s LITERALLY all you’ve done in this thread.

And you, of all people, are in no position to accuse someone of “not engaging in discussion”, given the nonsense you’ve pulled on this page.

What’s particularly nice is the little ad hominem at the end there. I thought those were bad.

As for intolerance? Yes. I AM intolerant of bigotry.
            We’re all supposed to be.
ESPECIALLY when it’s done by someone too cowardly to show their face.

Just because you feel it doesn’t mean it’s not bigotry.

Now, I’ll ask again. Are you willing to have an open, honest conversation about this, or are you just going to continue playing these silly trolling games like you’ve been doing here?

            • Question says:

Every time I’ve engaged in discussion you’ve engaged in name-calling. Everyone who disagrees with you is a ‘bigot’. You’re the type who wants a fascist authoritarian state where heterodox opinions and free speech are squashed. You support those who make threats. You’re intolerant of anyone who disagrees with you. Definitely unhinged.

              • Mike Hind says:

Nah. None of this is true.

But thanks for verifying that you aren’t interested in an open, honest conversation, given that you continue to just straight up lie with every post.

You’ve shown who you are… well, as much as you can with that hood on…

                • Question says:

Not surprisingly you deny it, but all of it is true. You can’t have a conversation without name-calling and the rest. You support threats, you are completely intolerant of ideas different to your own.

              • LOL - the real one says:

Mike simply ignores the meaning of words when he is called out, that is what liberals do. Imagine if he ignored notes in the music when he plays.

                • Mike Hind says:

Notice that we’re not talking about the topic at hand.

                  Convenient, that…

It’s almost like that was the intention of this outrage about my “name-calling” and “ad hominems”…

The personal attack at the end, because I’m not afraid to sign my name, was a nice touch. Especially from someone too afraid to sign theirs…

                • Tucker says:

                  You and Question are cowards.
You’re conservative, scared, bigoted and hypocritical. This is not an ad hominem attack, it’s a description of the behavior you are displaying in this thread. You don’t like being called out, so you hit back with lies and misinformation.
It’s pathetic, but expected from you.

                  • Question says:

I’ll ignore the name-calling for a moment. We’ll perhaps come back to that.

                    What ‘lies and misinformation’, specifically?

              • LOL (original) says:

                @ Question
                Agree

            • LOL - the real one says:

You need to actually look up and READ the definition of “ad hominem” in a dictionary. Oh, my bad, you do not care about the meaning of words.

“the hood of anonymity” – seriously? Where did you learn that gem?

              • Mike Hind says:

And here’s another. Thanks for proving my point.

Too scared to show your face, but cool with talking a lot of nonsense… as long as no one knows it’s you.

                Brave.

                • LOL - the real one says:

You have no point to prove. Clearly, no one cares who you are. Bask in your high opinion of yourself. Try harder and come back with new material. Your record broke years ago. Switch to a mp3 file.

                  • saud says:

You’re a coward, and no one is interested in your racism and homophobia.
You keep Bermudians back. You’re the problem with Bermuda.

                  • Mike Hind says:

Yeah. This is about the level of response we can expect from this person.

                    Real tough when he’s hiding.

                    • LOL (original) says:

That could be taken as a threat. What would you do if you heard them personally say that to you or in your vicinity? let us know.

LOL this is cultish behavior on display Mr. Hind. IMO

  6. Mike Hind says:

Because this is tiresome and has run it’s course and now we’re not talking about the topic (my fault, for taking the bait), my final thoughts on this thread…

“Gay people should only be allowed to have a month to celebrate their existence and trans women are men.”

Hey, that’s a bigoted thing to say and that makes you a bigot.

“Why are you attacking me? You always call me names! Look! Everyone’s calling me names!”

    • Joe Bloggs says:

If LGBTQ+ people are only allowed 1 month each year to celebrate their (nearly) human rights then all other groups should also be limited.

By all other groups I mean those whose rights are supposed to be protected by the Human Rights Act.

    • Question says:

You dishonestly misquoted me, using speech marks. I never said those things. So in addition to my previous observations of how you behave, you’re also dishonest.

      • Mike Hind says:

        Cool story, bro. Tell another.

        • Question says:

But you did make up those ‘quotes’. Didn’t you.

          • Mike Hind says:

Ease your grip on your pearls there.
I was OBVIOUSLY summarizing the thread.
There’s no need for your screeching feigned outrage.

            Have the day you deserve.

            • Question says:

Oh, well, if that’s how it works,

“Pride month should go on indefinitely without limit, and anyone who expresses an opinion about that is by definition a bigot.”

“Yes, I know of at least one instance where a trans woman was was in a changing room flashing his male genitals to young girls who were also undressed, getting ready for their swimming lesson. But I see nothing wrong with it. The young girls obviously over-reacted.”

“I will support racist statements and threats if they are made by Pride supporters, but if called out on it I will just pretend it was nothing to do with me.”

              • Mike Hind says:

At least now we’re back on topic.

                1. That’s a misrepresentation of what was said, unlike mine. This person said that 1 month was enough, indicating that the weekend that we celebrate with the INCREDIBLY successful PRIDE March wasn’t necessary. When confronted, they didn’t elaborate and explain that this wasn’t what they meant. They, instead chose to change the subject and accuse everyone of attacking them, leading people to believe that what they meant was what we thought. This is why they were referred to as a bigot, for saying that one month of celebrating the historically disenfranchised group they are part of was all they should get.

                2. Intentionally choosing to misgender a trans person by using the wrong pronouns in order to dishonestly misrepresent a situation and conflate sex with gender is the kind of transphobic behavior that bigots use.
This person, “Question”, may not be a bigot, as they claim, but this language and behavior is the same language and behavior that bigots use.
In addition, they are misrepresenting the incident to which they are referring, the trans woman used the shower corresponding to her gender, did so respectfully, facing the wall so that only her back could be seen and was only seen BY ANYONE WATCHING HER when she turned to get her towel.
The reason that this argument is so problematic is that this person is conflating gender, a social construct, with biological sex, which is something else. The trans woman was no danger to the other women there, and, in fact, as evidenced by the weaponization of the incident, is in far more danger of being attacked.
This is why this poster was referred to as a bigot.

                3. Whatever they’re talking about here was an attempt – one that succeeded – to change the subject off of the things that they said and onto things other people said. It didn’t work and now they’re salty about it and will invariably keep bringing it up, as nauseum.

                • Question says:

Right. So now you understand why it’s wrong, dishonest, and unethical, to deliberately misquote people.

                  • Mike Hind says:

Here’s more of that feigned outrage.

Note they don’t address a single point made.
This is all a feeble attempt to deflect from the topic.
Because of their indefensible position on it, they simply CANNOT have an open, honest discussion. They know that they can’t defend their point, so they simply don’t. They deflect. They distract. They pretend that they are the victim.

                    It’s all so predictable.
                    It’s all so sad.
It’s all so dangerous for the LGBTQ+ community.

                    • Question says:

Oh don’t worry. I’m going to address the main point, which is the second one.

Pretending that anyone who ‘identifies’ as a woman is actually a woman, is delusional and dangerous to women.

                    • Mike Hind says:

Not only is what this person wrote here not true, it’s language that bigots use, as mentioned.

And note how they pretended that simply reiterating the debunked falsehood they posted before is “addressing the main point”.
                      It’s not.

Again they prove a refusal to engage in open, honest discussion.

                  • LOL - the real one says:

LMFAO…dear snowflake, no one misquoted you.
Take your purse and go home, you an emotional wreck.

                • Question says:

Then there’s the case of Darren Merager, a man who identified as a woman, who exposed himself to several women and a little girl at a spa in June 2021. Not his first incident of exposing himself to women in a locker room, having previously done it in 2018. At first dismissed as a transphobic hoax, once the identity was established, the registered sex offender was arrested on Dec 13, 2022.

I’m not saying that trans people are typically like this, but if you create conditions where men can go into women’s changing rooms, some nasty individuals will take advantage of it. Women and girls should not have to worry about this.

                  • Mike Hind says:

Notice here that this person continues to misgender and call trans women “men”.

Earlier in the thread, I asked them if we, as a society, should stop children from any situation where they may be exposed to danger of this type.
They refused to answer the question.

This is simply an attempt to vilify trans people as perverts. Which is a tactic that bigots use.

                    • Question says:

Earlier, you wanted more details of the incident I had in mind. Here they are: the facts. Sorry if you don’t like them.

I ignored your earlier attempt at a question because it’s irrelevant and purile.

                    • Woke says:

Because it is a man…if I identify as a cat does that make me a cat?

      • Tucker says:

        “you’re also dishonest.”

Meaning, you admit that you’re dishonest.

We know…you’ve made up every story in this thread. LOL
