2024 Pride To Have ‘Family Affair’ Theme
The 2024 Bermuda Pride celebrations — with a theme of ‘Family Affair’ — will take place between August 28 – September 1st, with the Pride Parade to be held on August 31st.
A spokesperson said, “OUTBermuda is gearing up for the 2024 Bermuda Pride celebrations with a community informed theme of ‘Family Affair’. Bermuda Pride will take place between August 28 – September 1, 2024. The centerpiece event will be the 4th Annual Pride Parade on August 31, 2024.
“This will be the third year the non-profit will manage and host Pride events on the island and this year the organizing committee hopes to solidify Pride as an annual event on Bermuda’s social calendar. OUTBermuda is extending an invitation to the LGBTQ+ community, Bermudians at home and abroad, as well as visitors to our shores to join in this year’s festivities.”
A look at last year’s Pride Parade
OUTBermuda’s Executive Director, Tiffany Paynter shared, “In 2023 we had our most successful Pride week. For Pride 2024 we’re excited to build on the strengths of last year with a focus on the theme of family and what that means for our LGBTQ+ community, allies and loved ones. The majority of votes for this year’s theme went toward the theme of family and ultimately we hope ‘Family Affair’ reflects our community’s desire to bring awareness to the concept of chosen family and to explore the bonds of blood family.”
The spokesperson said, “This year’s theme will help shape Pride’s events, education and awareness campaigns, and OUTBermuda’s planning process. Leading the planning of Pride this year will be Pride 2024 Project Manager Najib Chentouf.”
Mr Chentouf said, ‘I’m passionate about bringing people together for education, sharing and celebration. Bermuda Pride offers a great opportunity to do that. Centering our Bermudian LBGTQ+ community is needed and provides vital recognition.”

We have a community issue with those that support or don’t support. So why be immature and add more to the fire? Just think before you post.
A “community issue”? The PLP Government took away the human rights of the gay community for the purposes of marriage.
When gay people have their (or even some) human rights taken away I would say we have more than a “community issue”. We have a human rights issue. Unless, of course, you do not consider gay people to be “human”!
