Bankers Association Comments On Budget

The Bermuda Bankers Association said they ‘commend the Government of Bermuda on its 2025-2026 Budget Statement’ which was released Friday [May 2].

A spokesperson said, “Government has announced measures that support economic growth, while maintaining a budget surplus and projecting a stronger fiscal position through debt reduction over the coming year. Taken together, these factors will support positive momentum in Bermuda’s economy.”

    The bankers association was very carefull not to include the working man in their business dealings
    with out the working man they will shurely fail .
    What seem ro motivate them is greed

    The Foreign banks are here for them selves as they did not reduse their interest rates or had any intension to ease the public burden what so ever.

    They dont make loans unless they can grab your account.

    When a Bank loans you money they “own you” and dont we know it. !

    I was just thinking it is about time all branches of bermuda business started to getting honest with it self, until it is too late ! there is more there always is more !

      Sorry, Pac Man, but modern banks to not want “the working man”. Retail banking does not make money compared to other banking activities.

      As for “foreign banks”, I am not aware of any foreign banks doing banking business in Bermuda.
