Bermuda Snooker Finals & Semi-Final Results
The Keen Cup final took place this week at the Sandys Boat Club, culminating in a dramatic victory for RAA.
Sandys Boat Club’s Paul Fedden initiated the final by defeating Keino Zuill 74-41 in the opening frame. The second frame saw RAA captain Kenya Trott narrowly miss levelling the score, losing 54-48 to Peter Bromby.
RAA’s Arron Bean then secured a win against Richie Beale 66-34 in the third frame, followed by Kyle Williams equalizing the overall score at 2-2 with a 59-54 victory over Martin Siese in the fourth frame, decided on the final black ball.
The Keen Cup was then decided by a tie-break between Williams and Siese. Despite Siese taking an initial 26-point lead, Williams mounted a comeback, ultimately winning the frame 62-58 on the final black ball, securing the Keen Cup title for RAA.
In other snooker action, Todd Dziak recorded a significant upset at Watford Sports Club, achieving a 4-0 whitewash against Matt Garrod to win the Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup. Dziak won the frames 49-31, 57-15, 60-21, and 66-41.
Meanwhile, the Bermuda Open Doubles semi-final saw Paul Fedden, partnered with Tyler Moniz, advance to the final. Playing at the Spanish Point Boat Club, Fedden and Moniz defeated Alan Smith & Fred Richardson 2-0, with frame scores of 56-39 and 63-49. Their opponents in the final are yet to be determined.
