Dr. Sandy De Silva, Executive Director of Family Centre, expressed her gratitude for this multi-year pledge, “Butterfield and Vallis has supported Family Centre since 2016, reflecting our shared vision and commitment to strengthening the emotional, social, and mental well-being of Bermuda’s children and families.

“In 2021, they became the first local company to generously commit to a multiyear, unrestricted donation. Unrestricted funding is especially powerful for nonprofits as it provides flexibility, enabling us to prioritize and swiftly address the evolving needs of those we serve. We extend heartfelt appreciation to Spencer Butterfield for believing in our mission and for consistently investing in initiatives that strengthen our community.”

Spencer Butterfield, Chief Executive Officer of Butterfield and Vallis, commented, “Butterfield and Vallis proudly supports Bermuda’s charitable sector, recognizing that vibrant communities depend on healthy families and empowered children. Family Centre’s impactful work aligns strongly with our company’s values and our commitment to community stewardship.

“We understand the critical value of unrestricted support, empowering trusted partners like Family Centre to deliver essential services and programmes without constraints. We are delighted to continue partnering with Family Centre as they champion brighter, healthier futures for Bermuda’s children and families.”

The spokesperson said, “Family Centre is an accredited human services nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children and families across Bermuda through therapeutic counselling, community-based outreach programmes [Youth Leadership Academy, Beyond Rugby Bermuda, and Beyond Yoga Bermuda], and advocacy initiatives. By ensuring barrier-free access to care, Family Centre promotes healing, empowerment, and wellness, fostering healthier communities.
