Mia Fishel Helps Chelsea Make History
Mia Fishel and her Chelsea Women team-mates have etched their names into Women’s Super League history after becoming the first side to complete an entire league season without losing a match.
The newly crowned champions capped off a superb 22-game campaign with a 1-0 win at home to Liverpool on Saturday [May 10].
Fishel was an unused substitute.
She scored her first goal since recovering from a serious knee injury in Chelsea Women’s 4-0 league win at home to Crystal Palace Women last month.
Elsewhere in the WSL, Aston Villa continued their strong finish to the season with a 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Former Manchester City player Shaun Goater, now serving as Villa’s strikers’ coach, watched on as his side maintained their momentum heading into the off-season.
