Paradise Mobile celebrated its recent recognition with a special event at its Reid Street flagship store today [May 15].

A spokesperson said, “The Paradise Mobile team celebrated their recent Ookla win with a special event at its flagship store on Reid Street today. The award, which they officially won during their visit to Barcelona for the Mobile World Conference, marks the new network as Bermuda’s Fastest 5G Network by Ookla, the global leader in connectivity intelligence.

“The event was attended by the ever-growing local team along with executives, advisors and key stakeholders. Also in attendance was the Minister of Home Affairs, Alexa Lightbourne, who was there to celebrate this significant milestone in Bermuda’s journey towards becoming a tech hub.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Alexa Lightbourne, underscored the broader importance of the occasion: “Today’s celebration represents not just Paradise Mobile’s success but Bermuda’s commitment to becoming a digitally empowered nation,” said Minister Lightbourne. ‘Paradise Mobile’s innovative approach is helping to position Bermuda as a global leader in 5G connectivity, and their contributions are directly aligned with our mission to create an accessible and inclusive digital future for all Bermudians.”
