Video: Sunday May 11th “Good News” Spotlight
News that Bermuda’s volleyball teams won silver medals at the ECVA Senior Beach Volleyball Championships in St Lucia, Christine Bogle-Mienzer was named the BNA Nurse of the Year, and Harbourfront Restaurant raised nearly $25,000 for BUEI’s education programmes through a gourmet lunch and art auction were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Jordan Vieira has been named the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Rookie of the Year, Ryan Outerbridge delivered a stellar performance at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, winning two gold medals, and BBA celebrated its 50th anniversary by honouring top cyclists and volunteers at its annual awards ceremony.
Other good news stories included Bacardi announcing the graduation of the first cohort of its Hospitality Accelerator Program and Pathways Bermuda being named “Rehabilitation NPO of the Year – Bermuda” by the LiveWire Global Awards.
