Grateful Miles Run Club To Celebrate First Year
Grateful Miles Run Club is set to celebrate its one-year anniversary on Sunday, June 22 with a 3-mile run and beach social at Clearwater Beach, inviting the public to join the festivities.
A spokesperson said, “Grateful Miles Run Club [GMRC], one of Bermuda’s fastest-growing run communities, is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a special event on Sunday, June 22nd at Sunjammers, Clearwater Beach — and the public is invited to join in!
“Since launching in 2024, GMRC has built a vibrant and welcoming space for runners of all levels — from beginners to seasoned athletes — promoting wellness, positive energy, and community connection through weekly social runs. What started as a small weekend crew has quickly grown into a diverse club with hundreds of members and growing influence across the island’s running and fitness scene.
“To mark the milestone, the club is hosting a fun 3-mile run followed by a celebratory beach social, with music by DJ Jim Brown, drinks, giveaways, and water activities. Food will be available for purchase on site.”
“We want to invite everyone — whether you’ve been thinking about coming out, or it’s your first time running — this is the perfect opportunity,” said GMRC founder Daniel Woods. “It’s all about good vibes, wellness, and building community.”
The spokesperson said, “In addition to growing the running culture in Bermuda, GMRC has also proudly contributed to local causes — most recently donating $2,000 to Bermuda Cancer & Health after a successful fundraising campaign.
“The club’s Sunday runs continue weekly throughout the year, rotating across iconic Bermuda locations such as Spanish Point Park, John Smith’s Bay, and Clearwater Beach.
