Kaden Hopkins Guest Speaker At Saltus
Cyclist Kaden Hopkins was the guest speaker at Saltus Grammar School’s fifth-form graduation ceremony this week.
Hopkins, who represents Uni Sport Lamentinois – a top team in Guadeloupe – shared inspirational stories and life lessons learned from his decorated cycling career.
“You don’t have to know who you are yet,” Hopkins, a former Saltus student, said.
“You don’t have to know what you’re going to be. But when opportunities come, don’t be afraid to take them.
“If you have something you enjoy and are passionate about, put everything you have into it.
“Be curious and be brave. I’m an athlete, but I know not all of you are and many of don’t want to be.
“Whatever you’re passionate about, chase it.”
Hopkins, 25, has previously competed for Vendée U in France and Equipo Essax in Spain.
He has also represented Bermuda at the Central American and Caribbean Games, the Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games.
