Netball: BNA Summer League Results
The Bermuda Netball Association’s summer league season resumed with five games across the women’s and co-ed divisions at Bernard’s Park.
Women’s Division
The Phoenix Flames defeated K-net Assets 44-12. Eshe’ Grant led the Flames with 37 goals, supported by Sydney Santos with 4 goals and Krishay Tucker with 3 goals. Nevaeh Swan was named best attacker for the Flames, and Dominique Richardson was named best defender. For K-net Assets, Jahkenya Trott scored 9 goals and Denise Truter scored 3. Khianda Pearman-Watson was named best defender for K-net Assets, and Luisina Medran was named MVP.
Devonshire Recreation Club [DRC] defeated Law & Disorder 48-6. Miesha Greaves led DRC with 22 goals, while Kristin Holman added 16 goals. Kessiah Jackson contributed 6 goals and Jamir Hatherley scored 4. Tina Wall was named best defender for DRC. For Law & Disorder, Rachel Nightingale scored 5 goals and Tseda Simmons scored 1. Terita Flood was named best attacker for Law & Disorder, and Kiera Trott was named best defender.
The Lady Stars defeated PHC 25-17. Julesa Robinson led the Lady Stars with 16 goals, and Marissa Brangman added 9 goals. Kaylee Lema was named best attacker for the Lady Stars, and Zindzi Swan was named best defender. For PHC, Sonja Townsend scored 14 goals and Terita Bean scored 3. Melissa Burrows was named best attacker for PHC, and Debre Evans was named best defender and MVP.
Co-Ed Division
The Bean Counting Netballerz defeated RenRe 18-9. Jahkenya Trott led the Bean Counting Netballerz with 12 goals, and Jahtuere Trott added 6 goals. Marmus Slabbert was named best defender and MVP for the Bean Counting Netballerz. For RenRe, Chelzea Somner scored 4 goals, Kiarra Francis scored 3, and David Oten scored 2. Euan Rutherford was named best defender for RenRe.
BHB defeated the Front Street Mafia 24-12. Sheldon Bahadosingh led BHB with 15 goals, while Kristin Holman added 9 goals. Tina Wall was named best defender for BHB, and Demiqua Daniels was named MVP. For the Front Street Mafia, Jasmine Mapp scored 8 goals, and Nathan Clarke scored 4. Jesse Marshall was named best defender for the Front Street Mafia.
