Netball: BNA Summer League Results
The Bermuda Netball Association’s summer league season continued at Bernard’s Park with matches in the women’s and co-ed divisions.
In the Women’s Division:
The Dandy Stars defeated K-Net Assets 41-5. Julessa Robinson led the Dandy Stars with 32 goals and was named MVP and best attacker. Kim Thompson added nine goals. Zindzi Swan was recognized as best defender for Dandy Stars. For K-Net Assets, Denise Truter scored four goals and Jahtuere Trott scored one. Knakita Bent was named their best attacker, and Luisina Medran earned best defender and MVP honors.
Devonshire Recreation Club defeated PHC 24-16. Drue Bascome scored 14 goals for Devonshire Recreation Club, and Miesha Greaves added 10. Demiqua Daniels was named best attacker, Keizhari Knights best defender, and Tina Wall MVP for DRC. For PHC, Sonja Townsend scored seven goals, Selah Tuzo six, and Terita Bean three. Melissa Burrows was named best attacker, and Debre Evans earned best defender and MVP for PHC.
In the Co-ed Division:
The Gold Diggers edged out the Front Street Mafia 16-13. Coriah Simmons led the Gold Diggers with 10 goals and was named best attacker. Sydney Santos added six goals. Rakeem Deshields was named best defender, and Alex Mason MVP. For the Front Street Mafia, Charlie Evans scored nine goals and was named Best Attacker. Meghan Sherwin added four goals. Jana Philips was their best defender, and Kyle Godfrey MVP.
The Storm Chasers defeated the Bean Counting Netballerzs 45-16. Antoine Williams of the Storm Chasers scored 31 goals and was named MVP. Jamir Hatherley added seven goals, Nabiilah Nasir scored five, and Selah Tuzo contributed three goals and was named best attacker. Debre Evans was named best defender for the Storm Chasers. For the Bean Counting Netballerzs, Jahkenya Trott scored 10 goals and was named best attacker. Denise Truter added six goals. Osie Agypong was named their best defender.
