Southampton Parish Council Offer Scholarships
The Southampton Parish Council announced that applications for its Further Education Scholarships for Academic Year 2025/2026 are available from today.
A spokesperson said, “Scholarships will be awarded to qualified Applicants in post-secondary education who are pursuing either an undergraduate or graduate degree. Applicants do not have to be enrolled in overseas institutions; Bermuda College Students are invited to apply.
“Applicants must be Bermudian and have resided in Southampton Parish for at least 5 years. Completed Application Forms must be received by 5:00pm on Monday, 22nd July 2025; incomplete applications will not be considered.
“We again thank the generous sponsors of our 2024 Golf Tournament. As a result of their kindness and tangible backing, we were able to double our Scholarship Fund and can support even more Southampton’s families.
“While achieving top academic credentials is important, the Committee is mindful of parents, guardians, and families who sacrifice, scrimp, and save to educate their children and prepare them for the future. We are also aware of the stress that some Students internalize due to their family’s financial pressure, which can disrupt their studies. Accordingly, as a Community Stakeholder, preference will be given to Applicants whose circumstances demonstrate financial need.
“Application Forms are available at the Southampton Post Office, or by requesting them from either the Southampton Parish Council’s Facebook page, or its email address: spc244@gmail.com. They can be completed electronically or by hand.
