Scott Barnes Finishes On Pro Tour Podium
Karting driver Scott Barnes finished third in the overall standings in the Shifter Masters class in the Skusa Pro Tour after racing in rounds five and six – the SummerNationals – at New Castle Motorsports Park in Indiana at the weekend.
Barnes, who the won the title last year, finished fifth in the round five final before placing third in the round six final.
“That’s a wrap on the 2025 Skusa Pro Tour,” Barnes wrote on social media.
“Not the Pro Tour we wanted; we tried to defend our title but fell a bit short.
“We podiumed four of the six rounds with one win, but two bad mistakes on my part in two races cost us the championship.
“We ended on a good note taking the third step of the podium in Sunday’s final in a strong 14 kart field.”
Barnes, who races for Maranello Karts USA, is sponsored by Butterfield & Vallis, representing their Powerade brand, and All Rise Limited.
