Members of the Mount Saint Agnes Academy Class of 2025 are celebrating their graduation.

A spokesperson said, “After their most challenging year as the Class of 2025, 35 MSA graduates are preparing for their next steps.”

Valedictorian Ethan McAlpine summarized the students’ experience at MSA stating, “We have journeyed to different countries together, survived lockdowns, played together on different teams, and along the way discovered the meaning of friendship, perseverance, and community. We celebrated each other’s victories and lifted each other up during some of the most difficult moments of our lives. Through it all, we were together. If there is one thing I can say for certain, it is that the bonds we have built will last far beyond the end of our high school journey.”

A spokesperson added, “The graduates have been accepted at colleges and universities around the globe. Eleven students will attend Bermuda College, with one first participating in Raleigh Bermuda. Nine graduates will go to Canada, one to the Philippines, eight to the UK, and three to the USA.”

“Our journey has taught us that success presents itself in many ways. While some of us excelled in academics, others thrived in athletics, art, or leadership,” Mr. McAlpine remarked. “Our unique contributions have shown us that there is no single formula for success. It was never just about what we achieved, but about how we got there.”

A spokesperson added, “As the graduates celebrated their achievements and shared their excitement about where they would be in the fall, one student’s absence was deeply felt.”

Salutatorian Olek Rymon-Lipinski offered a moving tribute to his late classmate and friend, Ethan Arruda. “And, lastly, to Ethan, who should be here, graduating with us today. Though he isn’t with us physically, he will always be with us, in our memories, pushing us to do our best… Though I wish he were here with us today, I know that he will always be with us, in spirit, and in our memories, as long as we remember him.”

“In many ways, your class has become a living reflection of what MSA strives to be: a family grounded in faith, guided by love, and united in purpose,” stated the MSA Principal, Anna Faria Machado, in her remarks to the graduating class. “As you step into a world that is wide and waiting, may you carry forward the lessons you’ve learned here—not just from textbooks, but from each other. Let the spirit of MSA, and the truth behind our motto Nil Sine Deo be your compass. With Him, you have already weathered much. With Him, there is no limit to where you can go.”
