This past weekend was marred with tragedy, with a 19-year-old man injured in a shooting in Southampton, the police confirming the death of a man in Pembroke, and a suspect arrested in connection with the death of a 71-year-old man following an altercation in Hamilton.
In addition, the Opening Ceremonies were held at the Junior PanAm Games, Bermuda’s Under-19 cricket team were in action at the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Americas Qualifiers, the PLP hosted a Family Fun Day, Walter Roban was honoured at a PLP event, and various other community and sporting events were held.
