Bermuda’s Golfers Shine In South Carolina
Bermuda’s amateur golfers continued to compete at the 2025 World Amateur Handicap Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Tracy Burgess delivered the day’s standout performance, with a second-round score of 78 in the Women’s Gross Division, placing her in a tie for first in Flight [54]. Her teammate Morgan Lightbourne is tied for eighth in the same division.
Ann Symonds, who led her division after the first day, now holds third place in Flight [57], the Senior Women 60 & Above Division, with a second-round Net score of 78. Ann Mitchell is tied for fourth in Flight [58] after posting a second-round score of 82.
In the men’s senior divisions, Richard Marriott is tied for third in Flight [10], the Senior Men’s [50-59] Division, after a second-round Net score of 76. Anthony Than is tied for 35th in the same division. Gary Venning and Frank Morgan are in 16th and 9th place, respectively, in their Super Senior Men’s [70-79] Divisions.
