BVA National Beach Volleyball Championships
The Bermuda Volleyball Association [BVA] will host the Island’s inaugural National Beach Volleyball Championships on Saturday, August 9th from 9:00am to 5:00pm at Coral Beach.
A spokesperson said, “This historic event coincides with the BVA’s 50th anniversary and marks a major milestone in the development of beach volleyball in Bermuda. The tournament will bring together the Island’s top male and female beach volleyball athletes, including many members of the Bermuda National Beach Volleyball Teams, who will be competing for the prestigious title of National Champion.
“Spectators can look forward to a full day of elite competition, showcasing local talent in a high-energy atmosphere complete with music, prizes, and a vibrant beachside crowd. A center court will be set up to highlight the top matches throughout the day.”
“This is a celebration of the incredible growth of beach volleyball in Bermuda,” said Meagan McPeek, event organizer. “It’s not only an opportunity for our top athletes to shine but also a chance for the community to come together and support the sport at a national level.”
A spokesperson added, “The BVA welcomes all volunteers to assist with logistics, scoring, and general event support. No experience is necessary — just a passion for sport and community.
