Jordan Ming Launches Neuroinclusive Essentials

When Jordan Ming’s son, Jaidyn, was diagnosed with autism, she turned her family’s journey into a mission to support others facing similar challenges.

That mission became Neuroinclusive Essentials – an online store offering sensory tools, adaptive products, and educational materials tailored to the needs of neurodivergent children.

Ms Ming said the idea was born out of personal experience and a clear gap in local resources.

“From early on, my son Jaidyn was meeting his milestones – he began walking at just eight months old and started speaking on time,” she told Bernews.

“However, around 18 months, we noticed a sudden change.

“He stopped using many of the words he had learned, became less responsive to his name, and preferred to play alone.

“My husband and I initially believed he might have a hearing issue, so we pursued hearing tests here in Bermuda.

“Although we were told his hearing was fine, we still felt something was being missed.”

With a professional background in social work, Ms Ming recognised the early signs and the urgency of intervention and sought a referral overseas.

“When we contacted Boston Children’s Hospital, we were told the waitlist for an autism assessment was over a year, which was incredibly concerning, as I knew a diagnosis was necessary to access the right services,” she said.

“By the grace of God, just before Jaidyn’s scheduled hearing appointment, we received a follow-up email letting us know they could squeeze him in for the autism assessment as well.

“He was officially diagnosed during that visit, and we were given a booklet outlining the therapies he would need. It was an emotional moment – we cried, but I immediately began researching how to help him.”

As she navigated Jaidyn’s needs, Ms Ming realised other families might not have the same resources or knowledge.

What was missing, she found, was a centralised, reliable source of tools and information.

“There wasn’t a single place where families could find trusted sensory products, educational tools, and clear information tailored to the needs of neurodivergent children,” she said.

To fill that void, she launched Neuroinclusive Essentials – a one-stop online platform supporting children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and others who benefit from sensory support.

“Our mission is to promote inclusion, support regulation, and empower families, caregivers, and educators with practical, effective tools that can help individuals thrive in everyday life,” she added.

Ms Ming credits a strong network of support for both her son’s progress and her ability to launch the business.

“I also want to acknowledge Little Scholars Academy, who have been incredibly patient, accommodating, and inclusive,” she said.

“They’ve welcomed Jaidyn’s therapists into the school setting, creating consistency and support that has made a significant difference in his growth.

“I’d also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Ignite Bermuda Programme for pushing me to finally launch this business. Their support and mentorship were instrumental in making this vision a reality.”

Ms Ming hopes to expand her reach across the island.

“We’re also open and excited to participate in community and vendor events to connect with more families and organisations across the island.
“Please feel free to keep us in mind for any future opportunities.”
