KFC Sponsors Youth Library Reading Challenge
KFC has sponsored the Bermuda National Library’s Youth Library Reading Challenge, ‘Level Up at Your Library’.
A spokesperson said, “The programme, designed to build literacy and a love of reading among Bermuda’s youth, recently celebrated 51 participants who successfully completed the challenge. To recognise their achievement, KFC rewarded young readers who completed Level 1 with a $2 gift voucher that they could use towards the purchase of a Kids Meal, and donated 51 gift cards, one for each finisher, each valued at a Kid’s Meal.”
“Level Up at Your Library energised our young readers and gave them a tangible goal to work toward,” said Marla Smith, Youth Services Librarian at the Bermuda National Library. “We’re grateful to KFC Bermuda for rewarding every child who completed the challenge. Their support helps us motivate kids to read more, explore new stories, and build confidence that will carry into the classroom and beyond”.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate these dedicated young readers,” said Ginene Haslam, KFC Restaurant General Manager. “Reading opens doors. By supporting Level Up at Your Library, we’re investing in Bermuda’s future and applauding kids for reaching their reading goals—with a tasty treat to say well done.”
A spokesperson added, “KFC’s contribution underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to community partnerships that support education and families across the island. For more information about the Bermuda National Library and its programmes, please visit: https://www.bnl.bm/”

Well done children. Glad they are reading. Even they know that $2 is nothing in Bermuda. SMH n LOL. KFC just should have given them vouchers for a free kid’s meal.
