    So nothing will happen.
    Typical or semi tropical?

  2. Ringmaster says:

An apology from the club? That’s it? A small reduction in match fee won’t make a difference. A one year or more ban including the next Cup Match would get a player’s attention.
Insufficient punishment will ruin Cup Match which should be held to the highest standards. Sadly their behavior is just a reflection on society.

    • MADDOG says:

Agree with you Ringmaster. Why is the club making the apology? The players should be the ones giving the public an apology. They are grown men and should step up and speak for themselves. The consequence does not fit their actions. I don’t care who they are…..they should be banned from playing in Cup Match. This was an opportunity for St Georges Club to actually take the lead and be bold and they failed. Watch the behaviour as it is allowed to continue and then we all act so surprised.

    Not good enough!

What about the squirting of water in another players face and the verbal abuse. I agree that they should give a public apology. I guess we will have to wait and see. Remember Bermuda is the place where you can get away with murder so don’t hold your breath.

They both need anger management skills. I’m so embarrassed for the team. Initially I was so proud to read the names of the members of the Cup Match team. After a show of disrespect, I now feel disappointed! The sportsmanship is weak. Cricketers of previous generations demonstrated skills, knowledge, and understanding of team building and good camaraderie. Perhaps the former cricketers need to implement coaching and mentoring.
