Bermuda Tennis Tournament Kicks Off
The Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association’s [BLTA] annual Back to School Tournament has commenced at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium. The opening evening of play featured eight matches and highlighted several dominant performances by junior players from the island.
In the Boy’s 18 division, Tristan Pettit demonstrated a dominant performance, defeating Raul Maldonado Jaime 6-1, 6-0 in straight sets. The victory places Pettit as a leading contender for the tournament title.
Lee Terceira secured a win in the Girl’s 12 division. Terceira overcame Arianna Parra Delgado 7-5, 6-3 in straight sets, advancing to the next round of competition.
