Khano Smith’s Rhode Island were defeated 1-0 at home to league leaders Louisville City in the United Soccer League Championship yesterday [September 6].
A former Bermuda national team captain, Smith made history in his first year as a head coach last term, leading Rhode Island to the Eastern Conference final in their inaugural season.
Rhode Island face Sacramento Republic in the Jägermeister Cup semi-finals on Wednesday.
