September 2, 2025 | 2 Comments

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advised the public that a “section of Black Watch Pass, Pembroke, is currently restricted due to a wall collapse.”

A Government spokesperson said, “As a safety precaution, the southbound lane has been coned off and remains partially closed to traffic. The Ministry’s Structures team is scheduled to review the affected area today to assess the necessary repairs.

“Motorists travelling through Blackwatch Pass are urged to exercise caution when approaching and passing through this section of road.

“The Ministry thanks the public for their patience and cooperation as it works to ensure the safety of all road users.”

The lane was closed on Labour Day weekend. Why are we only hearing this after the fact?

And there is no traffic control in place, so I advise against traveling south through Blackwatch Pass.
