Bermuda London Office Issues Student Advisory
The Government of Bermuda London Office welcomed Bermudian students in the UK, reminding them of their eligibility for home student tuition rates, access to student finance, and encouraging them to register with the office for support and updates.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Government of Bermuda London Office takes this opportunity to extend a welcome to all Bermudian students who have recently arrived in the United Kingdom[UK] to begin or continue their university studies, and shares its well wishes for a successful new academic year.
“And as a reminder to students and parents, Bermudians studying in England are eligible to be classified as ‘home students’ for tuition fee purposes under the Education [Fees and Awards] [England] Regulations [SI 2007 No. 779] and the Student Fees [Qualifying Courses and Persons] [England] Regulations [SI 2007 No. 778].
“This legislation also provides access to student finance fee loans where applicable.
“Interested individuals can apply for Student Finance at the link here: https://studentfinance.campaign.gov.uk
“The London Office encourages all students to register with the Office to stay informed about opportunities, events and support available throughout the academic year. Should students have any questions or concerns regarding their studies, tuition fees, or student finance, please do not hesitate to contact the London Office for guidance and assistance.

These opportunities are priceless for Bermudians !
I hope the Government, opposition and the electorate really think hard before considering any relationship distance from being a British colony. The benefits to education and job opportunities offered by the UK in Trade and professional school, are without question priceless, and no tax dollar contributions to the UK coffers for this by Bermuda taxpayers. Bermudians who are interested in other work opportunities not applicable to 18 sq mile island.
Whilst there are lots of warm relations going on with Caricom, please make sure we know where are “bread is buttered” and focus on Bermuda and investing our time properly.
UK thank you for everything you do for Bermuda
Respectfully
David RG Smith
