Khano Smith’s Rhode Island defeated Las Vegas Lights 3-1 at home in the United Soccer League Championship yesterday [October 5].
A former Bermuda national team captain, Smith impressed in his first year as a head coach last term, leading Rhode Island to the Eastern Conference final in their inaugural season.
Rhode Island, who are eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, play their final home match of the season against Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday [October 11].
