Three Triathletes Complete Ironman 70.3 Waco
Three Bermuda triathletes completed the Ironman 70.3 Waco Triathlon, navigating the 70.3-mile course in Texas.
Lesley-Jane Smith was the first Bermudian to finish, placing 481st overall with a time of 6 hours and 40 seconds. Smith’s splits included a 35:10 swim, a 3:01:35 bike ride, and a 2:10:05 run. Her performance earned her 12th place in the Female 40-44 Age Group Division and 65th female overall.
Melissa Logie finished with a time of 6:07:38, placing 543rd overall. She completed the swim in 42:27, the bike in 3:02:44, and the run in 2:09:27. Logie finished 14th in the Female 40-44 Age Group Division and was the 80th female overall. Her run split was the fastest among the Bermudian women.
Nicola Hallett finished with a time of 6:25:21, placing 727th overall. She recorded splits of 46:59 for the swim, 3:03:05 for the bike, and 2:22:34 for the run. Hallett placed 10th in the Female 50-54 Age Group Division and was the 123rd female to finish.
