Bailey & Estey Earn ISBHF Masters Honours
Bermuda’s Robbie Bailey and captain Jeremy Estey earned major honours at the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation Men’s Masters World Championship in Bermuda.
Bailey was named Best Forward and Estey selected to the tournament’s All-Star Team.
Canada defeated Canada Saskatchewan 2-1 in a tense final at the Pembroke Community Centre hockey rink last weekend.
Portugal beat the United States 4-2 in the bronze medal game; Bermuda beat Italy 6-2 in the fifth-place match; and Great Britain triumphed over Haiti 4-3 in the seventh-place game.
Canada Ball Hockey wrote on social media: “What a week for Canadian ball hockey on the world stage!
“Both our men’s and women’s programmes finished on the podium, showcasing elite play, dedication and national pride from start to finish.
“Canadian excellence was on full display at the ISBHF Masters World Championship, with CBHA athletes earning top individual honours and multiple All-Star selections across both men’s and women’s divisions.”
