FC Bascome Blue Wins Under-13 Championship
FC Bascome Blue claimed the Bermuda Football Association Gregory Grimes Under-13 championship with a 3-2 victory over the Somerset Trojans in a closely contested final at the Somerset Cricket Club.
Mackay Browne opened the scoring for FC Bascome Blue, giving his team an early advantage, before Ryan Tavarrez equalized for the Somerset Trojans. Browne struck again to restore FC Bascome Blue’s lead, but Asa Trew-Smith responded for Somerset to level the match at 2-2.
Quinn Farnsworth scored the decisive goal to secure the championship for FC Bascome Blue, sealing the 3-2 victory and the title.
Following the final whistle, Mackay Browne was named MVP for FC Bascome Blue, while Asa Trew-Smith earned MVP honours for the Somerset Trojans.
