Governor Murdoch Receives Honour From King
Governor Andrew Murdoch was recently invested as a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George [CMG] by King Charles III.
Government House posted the photos online below, and said, “An incredibly memorable day at Windsor Castle on 4 November for the Governor as he was invested with the insignia of Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George [CMG], by His Majesty King Charles III.”
Governor Andrew Murdoch said, “It was an honour and privilege to be in Windsor Castle, and to receive the honour from His Majesty. I found the experience very humbling as I discovered why others were receiving their honours.
“Some were household names, such as Sir David Beckham [who was so modest at what he achieved], while many others have worked out of the spotlight serving their communities with distinction. I want to acknowledge all those that have supported me on my own journey: I thank you all for your help, advice and encouragement.”
