Green Family Donates $100,000 To BCHC
The Green Family made a donation of $100,000 to Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre [BCHC], to be distributed over five years at $20,000 annually.
A spokesperson said, “This donation underscores the family’s ongoing dedication to supporting healthcare initiatives and advancing cancer care in Bermuda.
“Since 2012 the Green Family have made cumulative donations to the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre of just over $750K, including their recent gift. This 2025 commitment will support Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s mission to reduce the impact of cancer through prevention, early detection, and equal access to care. Every Dollar helps ensure that anyone in Bermuda can receive the screening, diagnosis, and treatment they need, with no one turned away due to insurance status or ability to pay.”
On behalf of the Green Family, Alexander Green said: “The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre perform critical work in our community. Cancer touches the lives of so many, and we hope this donation will make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected.”
The spokesperson said, “Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, a registered charity, continues to play a leading role in reducing the impact of cancer and other health concerns through education, prevention, early detection, and support. Their Radiation Therapy Unit, operated in partnership with Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, ensures that Bermudians can receive world-class treatment close to home.”
