Man Arrested After Collision In Hamilton Parish

A 51-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after crashing his motorcycle on Harrington Sound Road late Saturday night.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, a member of the public contacted police and reported seeing an unresponsive male lying on the golf course near the junction of Harrington Sound Road and Paynters Road, Hamilton Parish.

“Upon arrival, officers found the victim, a 51-year-old-male, alert and receiving treatment from EMTs for head and facial injuries.

“He was said to have been traveling west on Harrington Sound Road, when he lost control of the motorcycle, went off the roadway and came to a stop on the adjacent golf course.

“When speaking to the victim, officers detected the smell of alcohol and observed his speech was slurred and eyes bloodshot.

“Officers informed him of these observations and placed him under arrest for driving whilst intoxicated.

“Officers also recovered a quantity of suspected cannabis as well as drug paraphernalia among his belongings at the collision scene.

“The male was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was further attended to for his injuries and discharged.

“He has been bailed to appear before the courts.”
