Djair Parfitt Named In Top Scorers List
Djair Parfitt, the Bermuda footballer, has been named in the top scorers and assists list after his contributions during the island’s recent Concacaf World Cup qualifying campaign.
Bermuda came fourth in group B in the final round of the qualifiers, finishing their campaign with a 2-2 draw away to Trinidad and Tobago last week.
Parfitt scored in the 65th minute against Trinidad to give Bermuda a 2-1 lead.
He finished the campaign with four goals to leave him tied in third position.
The 29-year-old winger also had six assists, leaving him tied in fifth place.
Parfitt, who plays for Haka in Finland, said: “As the tournament concludes, I was notified I became the second Bermudian historically to chart in a WCQ Top goalscorer and goal and assist position after Shaun Goater.
“As much as I would love to take credit for this achievement, God placed his hand on my path and made it possible.
“As a team, this time we brought the world to our National Stadium.”
