Skyport To Celebrate Holiday With Carol-Off
Skyport is celebrating the holiday season with an ocean-themed tree, festive performances, and its Christmas Carol-Off.
A spokesperson said, “From shimmering seas to the songs of the season, Skyport ushers in holiday events at L.F. Wade International Airport.
“Passengers and visitors were greeted by a glowing tree, adorned with a whimsical Under the Sea theme. The installation transforms the terminal into an ocean‑inspired wonderland, proving that Skyport doesn’t just help travellers soar to new heights — it also invites them to dive into the magic of the season.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
“On Wednesday evening, Skyport hosted a special reception to mark the occasion, welcoming airport stakeholders, staff, and their families. Entertainment came from DJ iBreeze, and the evening made an even bigger splash with sushi and other delights, topped off by an aerial performer whose movements carried a nautical elegance that set the tone.
Upcoming Festivities
“The scene will serve as the backdrop for Skyport’s Great Bermuda Carol-Off, featuring student choirs and performances. The event returns for its third season on December 2, 4, and 5, with choirs rotating through the day. In between schools, musical performances will feature talented local artists Tino Martinez and Sakaela.
“In addition to the soaring sounds of Bermuda’s school choirs, visitors will also be able to browse Skyport’s Christmas vendors market, open throughout the Carol-Off and Winners’ Concert. Vendors will include Bermuda Trivia, Dayrosia, and Thread Needle Studio, offering holiday goods and locally crafted treasures.
“Shortlisted schools will perform in a Winners’ Concert on Saturday, December 13, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Tickets are free and available here; booking is encouraged to secure a spot.”
