WeSpeak recently announced the winners of their Teen Video Competition, with Zarah Siddiqi taking first place, Zoei Burgess second, and Nh’Lae DeRoza third, alongside special awards for Alexandria Crippen and Legend Stevenson.

A spokesperson said, “WeSpeak, an organisation devoted to empowering the next generation of confident communicators, is proud to announce the winners of its 3rd Teen Video Competition, sponsored by WTW Bermuda and One Communications. This year’s competition themed ‘Digital Generation, Our Generation,’ invited teen girls to explore how technology, communication, and confidence intersect in their everyday lives.”

“This year’s ‘Digital Generation, Our Generation’ theme underscores WeSpeak’s mission to help young people build confidence, competence, and calm in public speaking, while embracing the tools and opportunities of the modern digital world,” shared Suzanne Khan, Executive Director at WeSpeak.

“Girls today are navigating a complex digital landscape, and their voices matter more than ever. WeSpeak is proud to provide a platform where they can engage with real issues, express themselves authentically, and advocate for a better future.”

Sarah Dunstan WeSpeak Teen Pillar Lead added: “With this year’s theme, the WeSpeak Teen competition challenged young women to reflect on how digital life shapes who they are and how they speak up. As chair of the teen pillar, I am continually inspired by how today’s young women use their voices to shape conversations about the world they’re growing up in. This competition celebrates not only their talent and confidence, but also the strength of a generation that communicates with purpose.”

A spokesperson added, “The competition received an overwhelming response from high schools across the island. Participants were encouraged to interpret the theme creatively, and the videos received touched on a range of topics, from how teens express themselves, to advocating for greater digital literacy in education for girls around the world. Each submission uniquely highlighted the voices, values, and vision for this generation, alongside honest reflections and personal experiences, highlighting the power of storytelling, confidence, and connection in the digital age.”

WTW Bermuda served as a sponsor of the WeSpeak Teen Video Competition for the third consecutive year.

“Serving as a judge for this year’s competition, I was impressed by the high caliber of local female talent and inspired by the participants’ drive, creativity, and ambition,” said Wendy Percy, Head of HR and Office Management at WTW Bermuda.
