Michael Wollmann Claims Wing Foil Win
[Updated with video] Michael Wollmann claimed an overall victory in the recent local Wing Foil Racing Series.
Wollmann, Ozone wing, demonstrated superb speed and tactical prowess, especially in the second race of the day.
He finished with 5.5 points across the three races.
Wollmann powered through the fleet to overtake Cameron De St Croix at the very last gybe mark, a move that secured him a crucial win.
Cameron De St Croix, Cabrinha wing, proved to be the most consistent sailor of the day, finishing an impressive second in all three races.
He placed second overall with six points.
The first race was dominated by Dr Pete Babekas, Armstrong wing, finishing fourth overall with 10.75 points.
Rounding out the podium in third place was Christian Luthi, Ozone wing, finishing with nine points.
Meanwhile, Melony Kendell, Ozone wing, provided one of the day’s highlights, finishing fifth with 14 points.
