Love Is Love Raises Funds For Foster Care
Despite cancelling its Ugly Sweater Brunch, Love is Love Bermuda still raised nearly $1,000 through a charity raffle to support the Bermuda Foster Parents Association’s holiday programme.
A spokesperson said, “Despite a setback following Love is Love canceling their Ugly Sweater Brunch due to insufficient ticket sales, they were still able to hold their charity raffle in support of Bermuda Foster Parents Association holiday program. Thanks to Casey’s Bar, patrons purchased close to $1000 worth of raffles as well as thanks to a donation made by anonymous donor in Iight of the event cancellation to ensure that Love is Love are still able to assist this great charity.
“Love is Love purchased two P-tech gift cards for electronics and a gift certificate to Gibbons company for the remaining ornaments and the remainder of funds were used to purchase BELCO and The Marketplace gift cards to assist foster parents for the holidays.”
Christopher Douglas, co-founder of Love is Love Bermuda states, “We at Love is Love, despite having to cancel our event, we were still able to again support Bermuda Foster Parents for this holiday season and we are most grateful to Casey’s Bar for helping us to facilitate the raffle.”
