Elijah Daley Finishes Second In Two Events
Bermudian Elijah Daley helped the University of Toronto Varsity Blues secure a victory at the Quad Challenge Meet.
The meet, held at the Varsity Pool, featured the nationally-ranked Blues competing against the Calgary Dinos, Western Mustangs, and Quebec All-Stars. Toronto finished first in the team standings with 830 points. Calgary placed second with 631 points, Quebec third with 335, and Western fourth with 272.
Daley finished second in the 100m Individual Medley with a time of 55.50 seconds and repeated the result in the 200m Individual Medley, touching the wall in 2:01.56.
Daley also contributed to relay events for the Toronto B squad. He swam the second leg of the 3x50m Super Skins Relay, helping the team to a second-place finish in 1:19.15, and anchored the 2x50m Super Skins Relay, securing third place in 54.75 seconds.
Toronto prepares for the OUA Championships in February, with Daley expected to be a key medal contender as the team finalizes its championship preparations.
