Insley Helps Canisius Defeat St. Bonaventure
Bermudian swimmer Rhys Insley contributed to a dominant victory for the Canisius University men’s swimming and diving team, which defeated Little Three rival St. Bonaventure 208-86 at the Reilly Center Pool.
Insley secured a second-place finish in the men’s 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.69 seconds. His performance led a 2-3 finish for the Golden Griffins in the event, ahead of teammate Giovanni Poggio.
Insley also placed sixth overall in the men’s 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 2:05.69.
In relay action, Insley swam the second leg for Canisius’ ‘C’ teams in two separate events. His quartet finished fifth in the 200-yard medley relay in a combined time of 1:40.22 and took fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:31.83.
