Survey On Artificial Intelligence Use In Bermuda
According to a recent survey, half of Bermuda residents report using AI for personal purposes at least weekly.
A spokesperson said, “Artificial Intelligence [AI] is no longer behind the scenes. It is front and centre in peoples’ lives, workplaces, and greater society.
“Half of Bermuda residents report using AI for personal purposes at least weekly, while nearly six in ten employed residents use it at least weekly for work. Those with household incomes of $75k+ are more likely to use AI at least weekly in their personal life and for work.
“Thinking about the greater impact of AI, over half of employed residents anticipate a positive effect on their workplace given the advent of AI, and four in ten expect benefits in their personal lives. In contrast, views on its societal impact are more divided, with the largest share predicting a negative outcome as AI becomes more widely used.
“Further, residents were asked for their views on AI across several statements. The strongest agreement was with the belief that AI needs to be regulated, with eight in ten believing so. In addition, six in ten expressed concern that jobs are at risk, worry about AI-related risks, and fear the leakage of confidential or sensitive information. By contrast, one-third reported feeling excited about AI’s opportunities, seeing it as a solution to current labour shortages, or trusting the information it provides.
“These results reflect opinions of 248 adult Bermuda residents [18 years or age or older]. Surveys were completed between December 5th, 2025 and January 4th, 2026.
