Thomas Cechini Places Second In Two Races
Thomas Cechini delivered standout performances for Loyola University Maryland’s men’s swimming and diving team, but the Greyhounds fell to Army West Point at the Mangione Aquatic Center, with the Black Knights claiming a decisive victory in the final dual meet of the regular season.
Cechini finished second in the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:40.58 in a closely contested race that saw him edge teammate Tyler Knurek by one-hundredth of a second.
He also contributed in the relay events, swimming the second leg for the Loyola men’s 400-yard freestyle relay B team. The quartet placed second with a combined time of 3:04.28.
