“The latest Reserve Constables were officially sworn into voluntary service by Commissioner of Police Darrin Simons, Commandant Ron-Michel Davis and Deputy Commandant Shawn Russell, in front of members of the Bermuda Police Service [BPS] Senior Leadership Team, the BRP executive team, as well as family and friends.

“The new BRP Constables are:

  • 1577 Lorry Fernandies [not pictured – off island when the ceremony took place]
  • 1578 Sadoya Peynado
  • 1580 Jessica James
  • 1581 Michell James
  • 1583 Bharani Mookaiya
  • 1584 Kenneth Vandrine
  • 1585 Sharmaric Ali

“Volunteering as a Reserve officer allows individuals to contribute to the safety of our community, while still pursuing their primary professions. By working alongside career police officers, Reserve officers help enhance overall policing efforts in Bermuda, making it a safer place to live.

“They also gain the satisfaction of serving, while acquiring valuable skills and experiences – because Reserve police officers are trained to the same standards as their career BPS colleagues.
