Nicholas Narraway Impresses In Arizona
Cyclist Nicholas Narraway opened his season in Arizona, representing Competitive Edge Racing in the opening rounds of the Tucson Bicycle Classic.
Narraway is using the four-stage race to assess his early-season form against a strong North American field.
The event began with the Marana Time Trial, a flat 4.5-mile [7.2 kilometres] point-to-point course that provided a straightforward test of individual power.
Narraway finished 76th in 8min 54sec. Eric Brunner, of Project Echelon Racing, won the stage in 8:00.8.
Racing then moved to the Sahuarita Road Race, contested over a 20.5-mile [33 km] circuit.
Narraway placed 93rd, crossing the line in 3:02:12.
Luke Elphingstone, also riding for Project Echelon Racing, claimed victory in 2:55:39.
