The Bermuda Progressive Labour Party extended their condolences following the passing of Mr. Danvers Seymour, Sr.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Progressive Labour Party extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Danvers Seymour, Sr., a respected Bermudian educator and sportsman whose life was defined by service, leadership, and a genuine commitment to uplifting others.

“Mr. Seymour was widely known for his contribution to football in Bermuda, not only as a fierce and committed competitor, but as someone who invested deeply in the development of our young people. Whether on the field or on the sidelines, he was known for pushing others to be better, for leading by example, and for giving his time and energy to the next generation.

“Beyond sport, Mr. Seymour also demonstrated a willingness to serve in public life. As a former Progressive Labour Party candidate in the 2003 General Election, he stepped forward out of a desire to contribute to the future of Bermuda and to play his part in building a fairer Bermuda for all of us.

“To his family, friends, teammates, and all those whose lives he touched, we offer our sincere sympathies. We join our community in mourning his passing and in giving thanks for a life lived with purpose, generosity, and integrity.

“May his memory be a lasting source of inspiration.”
