Bardgett & SCAD Wins Team Title At Zone 5 Event
Kayla Bardgett and the Savannah College of Art and Design [SCAD] equestrian team won the team title at the IHSA Region 5 Zone 5 event at the Ronald C. Waranch Equestrian Center.
SCAD finished with a perfect score of 49 points, ten points ahead of Reserve Champions, the University of Central Florida. The University of Florida placed third with 33 points.
The team’s victory follows three consecutive IHSA regular season event wins earlier in the season.
Senior rider Kayla Bardgett won the Open Flat Class, marking her third win of the season in the event. Bardgett’s performance contributed to SCAD’s 59-point lead over UCF in the regional standings.
