BHB Invites 2026 Scholarship Applications
The Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] is inviting applications for its 2026 scholarship programme, offering financial awards to Bermudians pursuing careers in healthcare and finance.
The announcement states, “Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB] is pleased to offer scholarships to deserving young Bermudians.
“Applicants for BHB Scholarships must be pursuing a career in healthcare or finance and have:
- completed at least two years of post-secondary education
- been accepted into a core programme with an accredited educational institution approved by a relevant licensing council
- maintained at least a 3.0 grade-point average or equivalent
“BHB’s Dashunte Furbert Scholarships are valued up to BD$5,000 per annum for a maximum period of two [2] years. Applicants will complete an Associate Degree in Science [Nursing] at Bermuda College.
“BHB General Scholarships are valued up to BD$15,000 per annum.
“BHB Finance Scholarships are valued up to BD$15,000 per annum.
“Dr Keith Cunningham Medical Technologist Scholarships are valued up to BD$15,000 per annum. Students must be enrolled in an accredited programme for laboratory careers in microbiology, anatomical pathology [ie histology/cytology] and laboratory generalist [must include haematology, clinical chemistry and transfusion]. Students can be enrolled in the US, UK, Canada or the West Indies.
“BHB Mental Health Scholarships are valued up to BD$40,000 per annum for a maximum period of two [2] years. Applicants must have completed an Associate Degree in Science [Nursing] at Bermuda College. Students will be undertaking mental health nurse training and upon successful completion of the programme, will attain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing [Mental Health]. Successful applicants will be enrolled at the University of Northampton in the UK.
“Successful applicants for all scholarships are required to work for BHB for one [1] year for each year the scholarship is awarded.
“Deadline: Thursday 30 April 2026.
“Substance abuse screening is mandatory for all successful scholarship recipients. Only applications received through www.bermudascholarships.com will be considered. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.”
