Bermudian athlete Sancho Smith delivered a strong performance for Clayton State University at the Emory University Dooley Elite Meet, as the Lakers continued preparations for the postseason.
With the Georgia Tech Invitational scheduled in two weeks, the meet served as a key opportunity for Smith to compete across multiple events.
Smith recorded a time of 49.74 seconds in the 400m dash to finish ninth in a competitive field.
He later returned to compete in the 800m, where he placed fourth overall with a time of 1:53.37, marking a season-best performance.
