Montgomery, McBrearty Win Singles Titles
Wayne Montgomery and Chloe McBrearty won the top singles titles at the WER Joell Memorial Tennis Tournament.
Montgomery beat Tariq Simons 7-5, 6-1 in the men’s A final, taking control after a close opening set.
Simons later won the men’s doubles title with David Thomas. They beat Sam Butler and Neal Towlson 6-4, 7-6.
McBrearty won the women’s A title with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Caitlin Conyers.
In the women’s B division, Arianna Parra Delgado beat Samantha Morgan 6-3, 6-4.
Will Britten won the men’s B title, defeating Donn Trott 6-3, 7-6.
