Ball Hockey: Spine & Sport Defeat ACT

The Bermuda Ball Hockey League resumed play following a two-week break with a game at the PCC Hockey Rink that saw Spine and Sport defeat ACT 12-6, led by Christopher Merritt with six goals.

Chris Jackson opened the scoring for ACT before Merritt equalized. Samuel Vieira scored for ACT to keep the game level early, but Spine and Sport moved ahead with goals from Jake Fenske, Rob Osborne, and Merritt before the end of the first period.

In the second period, Vieira and Anthony Kapsimalis scored for ACT, while Ben Wilshaw added another. Merritt scored twice in the period for Spine and Sport, and Fenske added his second goal.

Spine and Sport extended their lead in the third period with goals from Johnny Talbot and Adrien Faucher, while Merritt scored two more to complete his six-goal performance. Fenske added his third goal. Vieira scored late for ACT to complete his hat-trick.
