BSSF Primary School Preliminary Results

The 2026 BSSF Primary School Preliminaries began today at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium, with primary school athletes competing for qualification spots in the finals.

In the Under 9 Girls 100 Metre Dash, Skye Furbert of West Pembroke Primary led qualifiers in 14.56 seconds. Tyla Foote of Elliot Primary and Sazise Lobese of Saltus Grammar also advanced, finishing separated by two-hundredths of a second.

In the Under 9 Boys 100 Metre Dash, Koa Bean of Francis Patton Primary posted the fastest time in 14.95 seconds. Connor Johnson of Northlands Primary and Kayden Davis of West Pembroke Primary also qualified.

In the Over 10 Girls 400 Metre Dash, Naomi Nusum of Saltus Grammar recorded the fastest qualifying time in 1:11.47. Warwick Academy athletes Rayven Weeks and Kamari Brooks-Gibbons placed second and third in the heats.

The Under 10 Boys 400 Metre Dash was led by T’Orie Russell of Purvis Primary in 1:11.43. Nico Simmons of Warwick Academy and Taku Benza of Elliot Primary also advanced, separated by one-hundredth of a second at the finish.

In the Over 10 Boys relay, Port Royal Primary won their heat in 58.88 seconds with Jacob Butterfield, Roman Bather, Ethan Anderson, and Ashlee Clay. West Pembroke Primary and Warwick Academy also qualified for the final.

Warwick Academy won the Over 10 Girls relay in 1:00.34 with Rayven Weeks, Hazel Richards, Kamari Brooks-Gibbons, and Layla Holder. Bermuda High School and Saltus Grammar also advanced to the final.
